Meet Golden Boy (Schwinn Super Sport pictures)
1965 Schwinn Super Sport in coppertone. I disassembled, cleaned and regreased it. I just took it out for a quick shakedown and it feels pretty good. Tomorrow I'll be able to take it for a longer ride.
Sprint!
Suicide levers!
The fork is pitted, but serviceable.
Huret chainwheel and shimano uniglide freewheel.
Great stem
Retro Schwinn road bike goodness.

Schwinn lightweights (?) of that era are absolutely the BEST looking! I love the Sprint derailleur and the non-dork disc spoke protector.

That is a great looking bikke. I didn't realize the bikes that old had a der hanger on the dropout. I love that color. I might just have to buy another bike to paint it that color.

Be careful, some of those cafes can be pretty fast, especially the ones that serve espresso.

Now that's how Schwinn should have built the Sports Tourer in the first place. Fillet brazed, forged dropouts w/built-in hanger, and no bloody kickstand.
Not to mention the presence of that delightful Titan stem and bar combination - simply smashing!
Congrats on an outstanding looking machine.
