Retro vintage kit, any recommendations?

I'm noticing more sources for Retro vintage jerseys and kit. Any recommendations for https://onlinecyclinggear.com/collec...ycling-jerseys or any other marketers? I'm more interested in overall quality than strict authenticity.

Any recommended sources would be appreciated.

I bought two jerseys from OCG last fall - finally wore them both, and washed them in the past couple of weeks. I bought 7-11 and La Vie Claire. Going to get a yellow Peugeot bib kit this week I think. (Haven't tried their shorts yet)

I'm pleased with them. The fabric is light and breathes well. The rear pockets are nice and big such that my cell phone actually fit completely in the middle one. I'd like the sleeves to be a little bit shorter but I rolled them at the hem and that was good. They seemed to wash well.

I emailed with them on sizing and went with XL. I wear a large in Primal and World Jerseys. I prefer my jerseys slightly baggy to better hide the twenty pounds of spare tire

I am interested in classic style and fabrics but not team jerseys. I.e. no team clothing or advertisements.

Search on Wool Jerseys in this forum there was a thread a few weeks ago iirc. DeMarchi, Vintage Velos, Oregon Cyclewear etc. They ain't cheap but once you go Merino Wool you won't want to go back. Just got one from Amazon Pro tip, if it says wool blend be sure to check the ratios -I have seen Jerseys touting themselves as wool with only 10% wool in the fabric. I like them to be at least 50% wool and the higher % the better.

By fortunate coincidence, we have a contemporary Capo clothing and accessory (including water bottles) company, based in Italy and completely unrelated to the Capo bicycle company of Vienna, so I have brand-correct water bottles and jersey.

POLYESTER???

Merino wool is the only way to claim authenticity.

I wanted to find jerseys for some of the vintage bikes I own.

Alibaba yielded these two exact matches. Cheaply. Their durability is untested but the fit and feel are good.

As best as I can recall, most wool jerseys were not Merino wool. Merino was available but those cost more.

And a surprising number of wool jerseys were actually acrylic.

Anyone remember silk track jerseys? Some people used them on the road. Shiny and sleek, but not too stretchy. Probably paved the way for Lycra later on.

I had a wool jersey BITD, perhaps made by Woolistic? It was an itchy mofo. Definitely not merino. I still have a pair of wool shorts from Protogs:

They're in excellent shape and still fit though I think they'll get pretty saggy by the end of a long ride.
