Wonderful setup! I just picked up the same air pad and it was so light, I got a Long-Wide. Normally I go for torso pads to save weight. Man, I have never slept better in the woods when it's 20ºF.

I am in the market for a new mattress, but there are several reviews on REI's web site describing how baffles have blown. Makes me hesitant.

Am going the bike packing way on black friday I also orded revelate design Harness and salttrolly drybag, gastank, halv frame bag medium and a ekstra bag to put outside the salttrolly. Am not sure about the saddle bag yet..! But am leaning on the Arkel Seatpacker 15. Then I have around total 45-50 Litre off space to my gear.
Am trying to go ultralight for the cost off only light haha
Tent 40% discount
Sleeping bag 35-40%discount (pict it up taxfree in Sweden)
Sleeping pad 25% discount (------=-------------=------)
Anybody have tips about a lightweight stove, feel free to speak

Many possible answers.
Ultralightest is probable a mixture of ESBIT tablets (no container required) and a simple alcool stove similar to the EverNew Stand (somewhere down the page. 60 grams or so). You may also want to consider liquid alcool. I prefer ESBIT tablets. Safer and more convenient.
If you prefer gas canisters, MSR pocket Rocket is worth considering.

Heh!...Looking through old photos I just realized that my current Therm-a-Rest "Guidelite" is at least 30 years old and has never had a puncture. At 1.5 pounds it's not that outdated either. Think I'll stop while I'm ahead!

I hear you. I have been through several mattresses, but my old Therm-a-Rest Prolite 3 has been going strong for many years. Guess my old back has been spoiled by a thicker mattress.

I can't speak to the durability of the Exped, but i'll try to wear it out this winter. Will report back.
Between Kelley and I, we have three thermarest air pads and none have ever failed. I had five other pads, but I mailed them all to the protestors at Standing Rock. Best place to send extra gear for winter camping!

Looking forward to hearing how it goes.
The worst I ever had was a BA Air Core. I inflated in the house once to make sure it held air. Put it away and then left for Cycle Oregon a few weeks later. On Day 0 it literally developed a hole right before my eyes (near the valve) as I was inflating it. Fortunately, I brought the patch kit. The hole didn't seal completely and the thing would lose air over night, but it held enough to get by.

I've had two Exped air mattresses (the old synmats, not the new hyperlight) that have had baffles de-laminate. Both times it happened while inflating the pad, and both times they still held air afterwards. Just had an awkward bulge in the center that made sleeping less comfortable. Both times Exped has replaced the pad with a new one.
I'm not sure if this counts as a recommendation or a warning. The pads are great, and the customer service has been phenomenal. And they claim they had a bad lot, and fixed the problems that caused the de-lamination.

I use a trangia 27 stove with a small clik fit holder. Uses denatured alcohol. Also used some high test bourbon once. Man that was painful to see it lit. Both fit in a 1 liter ss pot. Small, compact, did not weigh it. Also need to carry some fuel. Depends on where you tour, this has some more available fuel options. Was checking out some of those titanium/steel little wood stoves. Just need fuel around.

You're investing in top shelf UL gear... curious what your spin on UL touring is? Mdilthey's seems to be into off-road/bikepacking, and I'm into ultra-portability for multi-modal transport and taking everything indoors with me (stores, restaurants, museums, hotels)... how about you? UL seems to be a rather tiny niche here.

Just got my frame bag from revelate design and it fits my Roubaix frame perfect in medium 5L and the tent poles are fitting right in it
And now a qustion. Am looking at a compressionbag like this too my WM Summerlite
Compression Dry Sacks | Sea To Summit
Will the small bag (10-3,3L) or the XS (6-2L) be the best choice? Never had one befor, and can only be orded on the "big nett" thats the reason I ask
Cheers

Enjoy your travels In July-August I will use my Hilleberg ATKO while bicycling solo (Cape York, Queensland to Cairns) - unsupported - and IF my traveling companion will come along, then we will use a Nallo 2-GT.
Whatever works - works atm. No one "best" solution, IMHO.

I went from a 1" thick cheap thermarest to that Nemo and it was night and day. It blows me away how warm it feels, it honestly feels like sleeping on a heated pad.

I recommend the Nemo Tensor series. 3 inches thick, super light, and it feels like sleeping on a heated pad.

I've also had Exped baffles blow up. Couldn't sleep with a bulge in the middle so I punched the mat until it looked like a big twinkie. Then I slept on my belly with my arms hanging down. Exped replaced it and I sold it and bought a NeoAir. I've had a Big Agnes seam leak, an Exped baffle blown and a NeoAir cut last summer (patched since).
