Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

he/she only sells only bike related stuff.. new stuff, and a lot of it. lets give him the benefit of the doubt for now. but i take it that was a great deal then, which makes me wonder why there wasnt more interest. a lot of different people bid on it.

Wow smoking deal on a bike that was sold out at the distribution level. Someone lucked out big time.

I'd call it a fair deal on an originally far-overpriced item but not a "steal". I picked up a CAADX 105 brand new from LBS for $1200 (and have purchased 3 similarly spec'd bikes from local shops over the last few years for no more than $1200 each), so I really don't get how anything built around a Sora group can retail for anything close to $1200. For my money, there are better deals out there. Even REI had the Raleigh CX with 105 for $1300. These highly inflated MSRPs seem to just be giving dealers a little more wiggle room on setting their prices.

Edit: Inflation rant aside, it is still a capable bike at a fair to good price so if you're the winning bid, nice find!

i was going to say, the only really nice part on that bike is the fork, Sora, and low grade fsa components do not fair well in an open market.

True. And 2013 Sora shifters are a fair bit nicer than 2012 Sora.

alright, so its not an amazing bike, i get it. this is an entry level bike. regardless, it sold at 50% the msrp. you bought your cannondale for $410 (25%) less than the msrp of $1,610 , which must make the msrp on that bike hugely inflated as well (dollar wise, albeit not %). moral of the story = never buy a new bike at msrp since it is never actually worth it?

*edit* in the end i dont think anyone makes money selling something at 1/2 or 3/4 the msrp price
