With the adapter in the pic you are limited to a set width for the hub. If you want the most future proofing the DT Swiss wheels or other brands that have changeable end caps will be able accommodate any width. There are 135mm and 142 mm wide rear hubs on road bikes and wider boost hubs on mtbs.
