“Lose” rhymes with booze.
“Loose” rhymes with goose/moose.
They’re two entirely different words with different meanings.
You don’t loose weight, you lose it.
Sorry... but I can’t take it anymore.

My goal is to get more technically proficient on trails and at least learn how to fall properly.
Seriously, though. I want to brave some local single track instead of riding on packed trails.

Also, keep in mind that a post is not a presentation of a publishable work of art. Not that I'm implying you shouldn't still try your best. My English teachers did have some impact. That's what helps me.

Just do what I do: remind myself that when it comes to writing/grammar EVERYBODY makes mistakes. Even the best writers on earth have editors/people to check their work.

I apologize for being abrupt. I’ll go back to being a lurker. I’m just having one of those days.

I would like to get more rides in before 8am. I have conflicting hobbies that require daylight hours. I usually get up around 10am and don't get rolling till about noon or 1pm. I want to do long rides, but yet I don't want to spend my entire day doing it since there are some weeks I only get one day off. I would also like to break the 40mph barrier just once.

I understand what you’re saying but it’s not like a typo or something hastily written. It’s a case of using an entirely different word and, apparently, not knowing the difference.

Like I said, it bothers me too -- especially when its my own. But again, a post is not a presentation for publication. I've got Photoshop, 9 browsers, a podcast running and preparing dinner as I'm typing this, so whopper mistakes are going to happen for me. I only feel bad when I use the word wrong (Did you notice I didn't say incorrectly?).
Consider the source, consider the conversation, consider the audience. I wasn't the greatest English student but I remember that much. If typos bothered us too much we would never type anything. Besides, how else are we going to get better? In any event, this post should tell you something? But I do realize my resume has to be perfect.

I don't really have any cycling goals since I don't cycle competitively. For goals I'd like to add:
Health and fitness goals
Running
Swimming
Boxing or kick boxing to improve reflexes and flexibility
Other goals
Spanish -- complete level III
Complete development and launch website
Enhance entrepreneurial skills
Advance social skills
Complete script
If I can establish and maintain any of these for at least 6 months I will consider them a success. Three years ago I stabilized my anaerobic fitness. And two year ago I achieved a stable diet.
Does that mean you have no plans for 2019?

I have plans all the time, both immediate and longer term. Goals tend to be short term - I'm a do or don't kinda person. I don't tend to get them too wrapped up in the calendar, certainly not annual milestones.

That's great, but not everyone is as organized as you. In fact, most people are not. For those of us that need that extra kick in the pants -- a resolutions -- can be just what the doctor ordered.

I'm in no way organised. Actually very linear. And I too need to be shown some direction occasionally but I hunt for that, I connect it to my day. It only takes a passing car that reminds me of someone, to reminisce, and think. I don't big myself down with a mediocre 9-5 and a love of football, tha has me stuck in a closed busy world. I stay open. With most of my days off work, part time parent, out there, finding something new every day.
It doesn't make me better than snyone, but it makes me think, try, see. All the time. Every day is a basic plateau with countless rabbit holes to lose myself in, just for the one day.
On the calendar there are only a handful a year, and that just ain't enough for me.

To stop more and take photos. And by that I mean going out for rides that I'm not determined to just hammer it and kill myself. But instead go out for rides where the plan is to see something new, enjoy the ride, and just take it all in.
Second reso - make the most of my power meter and do some training programs.

Thanks @KraneXL. In the past I was so focused on my ride that I never stopped. Even when I saw something - such as an open road - that I figured would be a good photo op.
