Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New bike advice

Just sold my Roubaix Sl4. I’m looking for a replacement, disc and Ultegra. I’m looking for an a Endurance geometry, as I don’t race and ride about 200-300 km per week. I like to climb, don’t like descending too much (the reason for disc). the frontrunners are:

-BMC Roadmachine Ultegra di2 disc 2019, DT swiss 1800 32 wheels.
-Giant Defy advanced Pro 0 2018 Ultegra disc di2 with Giant Carbon wheels. About 1000 $ less.

I tried the new Roubaix, I did not like the Future Shock.

The BMC seems to have a better frame, the Giant is less costly and seems to have better specs. Will not be able to try them.

Any real world experience? Do you have other suggestions?

Whatever you decide do not do anything until after the 19th !! As you have probably heard by now... Trek will change cycling forever in a matter of hours.
