Interesting bike, what is it?

I was out at my friends who's a bike hoarder. And I came across this. Just wondering what it is and how old it is?

A picture of the head badge would have been a good start.

I prefer the term bike connoisseur rather than bike hoarder but the latter is probably closer to the truth for most of us,

Definitely a Humber based on that twin-bladed fork, headbadge, chainring.

Post WWII era based on the blacked out chrome. Front and rear hubs should have a date code.

The Aristocrat of Bicycles, as supplied to H.M. King George V and by appointment to King Georege VI.

I believe they stopped using duplex forks some time in the 60's, although by then I think it was just another Raleigh Sports marque. Humber always played up their relations to the British royals.

I was going to say Atlas. The chain wheel looks like Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders.
