Is this a good deal?
Hey folks,
I've been looking to get my first road bike and been doing my search both on new/used bikes. I've found one that I think is a pretty good deal, but I wanted to ask the experts here. Is the following a good deal?
2017 Specialized Roubaix Expert UDi2 for $2350 (From what I understand it is practically brand new and only been ridden handful of times. The pictures also show that the bike is in a great condition).
Please kindly advise.

So if it fits you and it’s the bike you want, then it’s probably a good deal if you can afford it as well as the other gear you’ll need.

Seems awfully high for a 2 year old, used bike. If it is in pristine condition and if it fits you nearly perfectly, you might try offering considerably less and dicker toward a price you are comfortable with.

When your butt's in the saddle and you are going down the road, no one will notice the seat post.
However I do agree with part of @noodle_soup 's comment. The seat post is hideous looking. But as long as it's functional, why spend the extra bucks.
And as he also said, make sure it's the right size for you if you are going to spend that much money. Unless that's just pocket change and you can throw it away if it doesn't fit. You might be the only buyer for that price range of used bike in your area.

UI2 is really nice. But don't buy it unless it fits.

Do we know it's used or just NOS at a bike shop?
EDIT: Nevermind.. appears from OP to "have been ridden a handful of times".. so maybe not NOS, but possibly a demo/floor model?

If it is what you want and the price is better than you can find elsewhere, then it's probably a good deal.

4600 bike a couple years old for 2350 not bad at all
its even under bluebook value which i think is undervalued since LBS buy them at that price and make money
i love my 2019 Roubaix comp
but as others have said make sure it fits and everything works

Thanks folks. I went ahead and picked up the bike. It is basically a new bike (No sign of wear anywhere). The seller bought it with their ex-SO to get into the hobby, but things didn't work out and the bike just sat in the corner of the garage for the last 2 years after the very first ride.
Only thing is that the seatpost is little tall for me so I'll have to get it cut (I got short legs and long torso). Should be good to go after a routine maintenance and chopping up the seatpost

Congratulations on the new bike! Sounds like you got a great deal!
Although it looks "different", compared to conventional seatposts, the CG-R (Cobble Gobbler) Seatpost works very well. It doesn't need to be cut down. Just loosen the seatpost clamp and lower it.

Yeah the CG-R really works. It's ugly, but I'm happy with mine. And anyway, it's a standard sized tube, unlike the proprietary D-shaped ones introduced for the 2020 model, so you can easily change it later.

Careful- Seat post has a minimum seatpost insertion marker on the frame
