Well I just started mountain biking this summer. I purchased a 99 IronHorse G-Out for $250 of my buddy since he was broke Its a real nice bike cept for the front fork/shocks seem to bottom out real easily. I am not sure if I need to get a new front fork or what. Id like to get into this a bit more seriously too so any suggestions to help me make this a better bike please let me know. Also if you have any tips or secrets to riding id be appreicative I will get some pictures for yall later tonight if not tomorrow

What kind of fork?? If it has been in storage for some time and is an air fork check the psi. There has to be some adjustment on it. If it is an air fork and the bike is from 1999 the seal might be bad.

Ya get some pics here. You might want to invest in a new fork, if you feel the need, it will make a great change in the ride. If you do decide to get a new fork, post your budget/riding style/and what you plan to ride, and we'll post up some reccomendations.

Id like to keep the fork as cheap as possible but I will go up to $150 I ride alot of fast trails/courses and do a bit of urban riding.

If your budget is $150 I would just stick with the fork you have for a while until you can save up a little more cash. If you can save up to around $225 (including shipping) take a look at the Marzocchi MX Comp 85. Here is a link to it. Click here.
