I have a few Bianchi shirts. I'm usually riding wearing a vintage shirt with either Bianchi or Campy somewhere on the shirt or some interesting design.

My last 2 bikes frames have been black with silver components. With bike shoes and shorts I choose any color, as long as it is black with white socks (in honor of the vintage and retro gods and my vintage body) as I ride a steel bike. Jerseys are free, helmet is mostly white for visibility. Gloves are old school with a crochet back in tan.

Never thought about it, until seeing this thread. Never thought about dressing to match my car, kayak or skis either. Although, usually try to coordinate my downhill skis, with the bindings, and boots

Not really from a colour standpoint, I don't see the point in buying multiple outfits just to match each bike, nor really thought about it. I suppose I pull out the wool jerseys and leather shoes more on the old bikes, while the lycra is used more with the mountain bike. Also I got a pair of wool shorts for Eroica, does that count as matching your bike?

My bike dresses to match whatever I’m wearing. I’m kind of arrogant like that.

No I don't wear clothes to match my bikes, why you scream? because I don't care, and I don't care what anyone else thinks about how I'm dressed! I'm not riding to put on a fashion show.

Do I dress to match my bike? That nonsense doesnt even cross my mind. Since I ride bents I dont even have to wear high priced biking gear to protect me from my bike. I wear what ever T-shirt is on top, and rugby shorts.

Not on my bicycles (recumbent), and it wouldn't make any sense to even try in my velomobile, because, well, I'm inside it and the only thing visible is my head anyway.

My motorcycle, on the other hand:

Unfortunately, I am a slave to the Mindless God of Fashion. My bike is basic black, so goes with anything/anywhere, but unfortunately it insists on my following suit. Consequently, my cycling shoes and shorts (Bibs or NOTBibs, no matter) must be black.

I am permitted slight variations when it comes to jerseys and jackets, but they must still be based on a dark-toned, neutral palette. 'Bright colours' are not permitted, not even as accents.

Sad, really.

Seattle is so bicycling aware...

that the Fashion Police arrest a person too far out-of-line from the norm.

Please, your Honor, the Devil made me do it!

I am a middle aged white guy and dress like a middle aged white guy. Cargo shorts or jeans and button down fishing shirts. The bike doesn't care.

Yeah, ... like.....
"It's not about the bike!"

let me find my pic.

An informal survey of middle age cyclists indicates:
5 out of 6 prefer riding appropriate shorts (cargo pant outlier)
And 2 out of 3 a wicking jersey.
(also, collared shirt wearers use bags/panniers and fenders - even on 6,000' climbs with 'to die for' moderately fast descents, assuming you survive the climb)apologies to the 1 over middle age, and the 1 under.

I didn't plan to ever doing that, but now that I see this thread I realize I don't have any clothes near this shade of green. I've been having to replace my wardrobe a little at a time as I drop weight, so I might have to fix that. I suspect a lot clothes in this shade feature a certain leaf pattern, though.

Sometimes just for fun I put on all my MIELE bicycling kit and then ride one of my vintage MIELE bicycles.

Kit.
