I made a copy for my computer's desktop image. I guess that would qualify as a Holy Grail bike. Perhaps he has found some dust caps for that crank by now.

I have the bikes I want - sure, there are more valuable and desired ones out there, but not really by me.
Stuff I'd still find room for:
Mooney, JP Weigle, Ephgrave, Jack Taylor, MXL.
The first three on the forum that jump to mind are GMG's Kvale, Scooper's 953 Waterford and cdm's Passoni.

It has spoiled me rotten.
I still have a bunch of other brands I would love to try though.
Curt Goodrich, Dave Anderson, Firefly, Zancanato and most definitely MAP.
The list goes on....
Let's not forget a little larger version of Aaron's Vanilla or Marnati just for good measure.

What do you mean, 'grail bicycle' and 'limit three.' Jesus Christ had only one Last Supper, and he sipped (very fine) wine from only one Grail at said Supper. There is Only One Grail. Sorry, that's all there is to it.
Yeh. Okey. That said, the bike I sought, and never 'spected to encounter, was a Norman Rapide. But I found one, as 'splained in 'nother thread, and it was lovely... but too small for me. And as much as I loved it, I moved it on to another forum memeber, from whom I was able to squeeze satisfactory recompense. and I'll let him post a photo if he wishes.
Then I thought, well, it would be super cool to find a real pre-bike-boom road bike in my size by a custom frame builder in my area.
Oddly, this too fell into my hands... and after some sanding and painting and hunting for appropriate parts, I ended up with a 1954 Alvin Drysdale sports touring bike. Every time I ride it, I marvel how well it fits me. But... well, you know, it's still kinda a grail bike. I'd rather ride something dispensable, which, oddly, makes this one... well, yeah, I'm thinking it's dispensable.

What year is that Paramount? It just so happens that I am finishing a red 1973 Paramount that is very similar to yours, 25 inch and completely original. What rims did you use? Mine came original with Weinmann brakes but I want to put Campy NR on to complete the gruppo at a nice spec. I've never been a Schwinn fan but this one just fell in my lap and I am liking it!

I don't know enough yet to HAVE a Grail bike in mind, let alone 3.....My BEST C&V at the moment is an 87 Bridgestone 550, rides pretty well, but I KNOW there are better out there, lots better....I've just never ridden one to know....probably better that way! ;-)

My 1986 Alan Carbonio "Grail bike"
Frankly, I did not know too much about Alan bikes before the C&V bug bit me hard about three/four years ago, but when I first saw a Carbonio in the internet, I knew it's a bike I really had to have, so it went on my Grail list....
All the planets seemed to line up for me with this bike as luckily, forum member schnibop made my dream come true
when he sold me his Alan Carbonio frameset about two years ago, and I happen to have enough component stash to build it up quickly. The perfect wheels for it also popped up in the forum classifieds within a few days of purchasing the frameset, plus I was rewarded by what is the best riding bike in my stable!....

Y'know, I really want to make a fixed gear with lauterwasser bars (or flipped north roads) on a schwinn speedster frame. They've got the english club racer geometry down and just look fun as hell to take down some dirt paths.
