Minneapolis Greenway During the Winter

Hello MSP riders!

Has anyone had an experience riding the Greenway during the winter months (well maybe not so green then!)? I would be riding from Uptown out to SLP. I only have a road bike right now and am curious whether they keep the paths clear enough to keep riding once it snows. My guess is no, plus dealing with ice and street riding to get to the Greenway on my old Schwinn will probably be a nightmare...
