27 miles in one commute this year. I started riding this year so i am planing to increase that. I have a ride planned for upcoming weekend which should be in the around 35miles.

Hybrids are typically limited by design to 60~ miles. My max was 63, but that was actually on a single speed cruiser. I marvel at folks that can tolerate triple digits. I have zero desire to ride those distances on any bike.

Did my first 100+km this year on Saturday - 103 km (64 mi). Took me 4h10min net riding time, with an additional hours worth of rest stops. Felt pretty good in the end, so the next target is a century.

16 miles this last weekend on my DS2. 12.5 the weekend before. This is my first bike in 30 years, so I'm building up gradually.

Just did two centuries, real ones not metric, last weekend on my FX 3. Busted a spoke but didn't notice it until this morning. Long rides are perfectly doable on hybrids, just need bar ends.

That's great! Totally unsolicited advice: pick a restaurant you want to go to that's about 10 miles away. Ride there, have lunch, ride home. Voila! 20 mile ride. 20 was kind of a landmark for me after coming back to bicycling.

I did a 100 mile Century last May on my Giant Roam 1. I've done several Metric Centuries (62.2 miles) on it. My usual ride was 40 miles, two months ago I upped it to 50 miles. In the first year of ownership, I put 6,302 miles on my Roam.
2 weeks ago I bought a Cannondale Synapse, so the Roam won't be getting the miles that it used to. I've done a Metric Century on the Synapse, but no full Century yet.

Anything over 25 miles or 90 minutes is all about nutrition.

Seriously, of course not. The most important thing is to ride and enjoy it so you can keep riding. If you get faster, great! If not, don't worry about it, just enjoy it at the speed you're going.

I've done a century or two a year since 2011 on my Fuji Absolute. The longest was 112 miles at RAGBRAI. I've done 3 coast to coast RAGBRAIs on it. A Jones Loop H bar turned it into a long distance monster.

Good to know; I have a Jones loop bar, just need to redo the hydraulics to install it.

Oh, and the longest trip I've done on my hybrid is 30 miles, and that's entirely me; I'm getting better. Did 23 rolling miles on Monday, with Mad River Brewery in the middle. It's good to have a goal.
