As you re-think...
If your MB-4 has a 1” steerer, most will suggest a rigid fork.
I had a Mag 21 with 1” steerer and found a Marzocchi Bomber from the 90’s. Early Z2’s were 63mm. There were a few years where Bombers were made with bolt on/replaceable steerer tubes. This also meant you could go from a 1-1/8” to 1” steerer with a shim. RST used to make steel steerers that work. They were available a few years ago.
