Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hi, I work for Bikes Direct customer service, may I be of assistance to you to address your question today.

I see that you have a problem with one of our frames. Is that right?

The bicycle you're talking about is the Mercier Kilo TT. Am I right?

Unfortunately, we're going to go out of business, due to a forced shutdown by the State of Texas for less than proud business practices. We are currently liquidating pre - existing stock. Therefore, we do not plan for acquiring stock in the future. We plan on shuttering down by the end of next month. That is August 31st, 2011.

And as of this date, all warranty claims previously given will not be valid.

Sincerely, Vincent.
Have a nice day.

Asking us when BD will restock Kilos is like me asking, "My favorite diner down the street is closed for renovations. Do you know when they'll be done so I can go get huevos rancheros?"
Well, there is a chance that some people actually have experience with them that could be as or more valuable than a generic response from Mike.
