People keep converting other bike types into "Beach Cruisers". Here is my attempt. A "Track" bike conversion.
Single speed, coaster brake, cruiser bars, so it qualifies, sorta.

Here are a couple more. The frames aren't legit cruisers, but I use them for cruising the beach and they are single speed coaster brake, so they are close.
An '77 Varsity, complete with glitter grips.
And a '77 Speedster.

So after 4+ years with my old Townie..good years! I ran across one that is in brand new condition on CL. I really don't think this bike was ridden more than a few hours in 5 years the guy owned it. I couldn't resist picking it up for $115. My old one rides at least 90% as well as the new one but the new one has all original equipment including Townie carry rack and cup holder, plus no marks on it. Now to find a good home for the old cruiser.

Here's a picture on my Townie 21D. Added Ergo pedals and grips, Suntour suspension seat post, still playing with saddles...shown is a Townie XL that has been replaced with a Selle Comfort model. Tires are Big Apples 2.35's. I added an adjustable post to get the handlebars up higher. I'm only a 31" inseam but this is not "flat foot" bike for me to be comfortable....which it is in spades!
Same stuff on my wife's only with cream color Fat Franks to add some flash.

I love my Townie 7D. I'll have to get a picture to post here. If you ever want to sell that trunk bag, let me know. I've been searching all over for one with no luck yet. I know Electra discontinued that one and the Electra trunk bag, but I'm holding out hope that someone has some old stock.

I know it's a crappy Walmart bike, but I like it. I routinely take it on rides between 20-30 miles. It is a bit heavy but very comfy, rides nice and fast too. About 1,000 miles on it without a problem.

You post this on the Electra Forum too did you? I searched every Electra retailer I visited in my 7 state territory before I retired and never found one! My eyes are still open!

You should see the look on people's faces when I pass then on that, then they try to catch my rear wheel but I pull away.
For $140, she is a good ride
