Ok, so on paper it's sort of a generic double-butted cro-mo 120mm spaced Nature Boy and the fork from a Cross-Check.
The things I really like about this frame (other than the price) are:
steel
120mm spacing so I can swap wheels between it and my Steamroller
awesome green color
little-to-no branding
brazed-on rear cable stop, which I prefer to bolt-on hangers
geometry should play well with any 'standard' carbon canti fork if I decide to go there
Cons:
3-speed and coaster braze-ons (coaster tab would get removed, for sure)
not light (but neither is my Surly)
Anyone here ever ride one?

cantilever brakes suck. . .so, build it with linear pull brakes instead.

EDIT: Geo-wise, it's very close to a Nature Boy it seems, which is cool because those are basically the two frames I'm debating between right now. The finish on the NB is a little nicer but damn if I don't love the green on the Fredward. My hang-up is that it might ride like a turd for reasons the specs can't explain whereas a NB is designed for SSCX.

With all those braze-ons, it kind of looks like you could build a pretty cool fixed gear touring bike with wide tires+fenders. Although, you'd be up against the Soma Wolverine, which allows a little more versatility with its rear dropouts.

I dig the bike minus the tabs and guides for an IGH. I like cantis and the green is a decent utilitarian type color.
However if I were going SS/FG Cross type bike I would stick with what I got or go with a Nature Boy which is much cleaner and they come coated on the inside which makes for quicker building (no framesaver required).
If I wanted a IGH set up I would go with something with a 135mm spacing, better options on that front.

Hey all. Most here know I bought it. I've raced it two seasons so far, rides great. No regrets as I wanted a SSCX capable frame that I could swap wheels between it and my Steamroller. The new ones are now ED coated internally (like Surly, All City.) The stock fork now has a 55mm rake instead of 45. If you're careful you can easily cut the majority of coaster tab off with a hacksaw and you forget it was ever there. There's a handful of them on sale on eBay for under $400 right now.
