The guy that told you only to use one brake is not the sharpest tack in the box. Junkyard is right, just ride. You're in south Florida, how "tech" can it be?

Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it.

That movie is epic.

Yah, it was meant as a joke but it just didn’t come off right.

Yes. It is. I'd love to discuss, but I have a lunch meeting with Cliff Huxtable at the Four Seasons in twenty minutes.

I know, I tend to think too much at times. But when I stopped thinking so much, it got easier. And also, I'm going to take it easy too. I did jump the root and hill the other day, but then got all excited and almost hurt myself on a harder trail. But I'm not gung-ho and stupid though. I'll learn. Thanks again!

Also, not sure how "tech" florida is, but it seems pretty challenging to me. I guess I'll eventually figure out the answer to that question, too. And I haven't even seen the advanced trails yet. And one of the intermediate ones had drops and root stairs seemingly every 5 seconds, and a narrow part where if you fell, well, wouldn't wish that on anyone. But hey, I'm a beginner. I'm sure someone is laughing right now, like "You don't even know the half of it."

Try doing the trail in reverse so the uphills are now downhills. Some hills can't be climbed. Watch your big ring on log tops. I get off and lift over rather than take chance to ruin big ring. When climbing put the point of your saddle right up between you ass cheeks and lean forwards. If front end tries to come up you may need a lower stem and bar combo to get more weight over front end. Although this then limits your downhill capability. Always use front brake. Rear brake just locks up and causes trail damage.

What is the big ring? My problem I see now, I am finally getting over those big tree stumps and roots, but I pull up on the handlebars to jump over it, but then the back tire and shocks I just sit on it and let it get me over relying on the first part of the jump. I see now that I have to learn about what to do after I get over the first big part of the jump. Like today, I come up to the same hills I have to charge towards, then have the jump at the top of the hill. I get over the first part with my front tire, but then I can't bring the back of my bike over, and I get caught half way. I feel good that I got over the first half, but have to stop and bring the second half of my bike over by stopping and climbing the rest. To reach the next level I have to learn how to do this...

By the big ring they mean the front chainring, If your not careful you can bash you big front chainring off rocks, roots, longs, tops of hills, and it could end up being a costly fix.
