Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Any interest in a group buy for a Rob Roy frame?

I was in on the IRO group buy. I tend to believe that a custom color would bring up the cost due to it not being readily available... I think.

Tony gave us a choice of 3 colors after we deliberated (argued) back and forth for a long while. You won't be disappointed in the paintjob.

I would love to get in on this but I have too many bike projects in my plate. Now... I know myself. If the deal is too good to not get in, I might just piss off my wife and go for it.

If it's not too early, I go for the Olive Drab!

Anyone know if this is going to happen? I've been thinking about getting a Rob Roy as a winter commuter, so I'd definitely be in.

I think a nice light blue like Bianchi's washed up blue would be awful nice.

So, is there any news about the prospect of this group buy? I'm obviously very stoked...

one of you all should call tony to ask about it. the way the last one worked was he set up a special page for the group buy (which means if you call you're not gonna get stuck keeping track of orders/money).

i'd do it meself but i already have a rob roy so i wont be participating.

I just tried calling IRO and left a message. I think this is a nice list for now, but we should get a proper one going.

I'd be happy to do the honors, but it seemed 610 was heading the troops.

It all depends on the price for me. Would this just be to closeout the remainder of the Rob Roy frames at a group buy rate?

I'd have to at least know a ballpark price so I can start filling in the slush fund.

Ballpark 150. There is nothing certain about that price whatsoever. It is a total guess based on previous group buys. I'm going to call Tony tomorrow and try and hammer out a price.

Psydotek:

More or less, yes. The more people we can get the better deal he'll be willing to serve. If we weren't doing this he wouldn't be putting these up for sale. The Rob Roy is going out of fashion, to be replaced by another frame, but this is a great opportunity at securing one of the last great SS frames.

$150? Dammit...

Count me in for a 52cm frame.

[any guess to the cost of a full build? i don't have the spare $$$ to build up another bike yet since i just built up the other IRO group buy frame...]

****!
