I told you I would.

I did.

A tick under $1100 on eBay with shipping, great shape, that's precisely HALF what the LBS had to get for this same unit. Now I have all winter to figure this thing out. God help me.

How about that red Pimp Daddy Conti 4000?

Pcad may suck at this sport, but NEVER doubt his Schwag capabilities.

Nice. While my new watt meter is on a unshwagtastic mavic op, I'm really liking the training with power and am now solidly among the believers.

You're supposed to start using it right away, you spend all winter training effectively so you can come out the spring and crush souls.

Does Wheelsmith make wheels? I thought it was just spokes and overpriced tensiometers.

My PT is built with WS spokes

Pcad, I don't want to see you posting in here until we have at least preliminary 5s, 1m and 5m numbers from you. Nice looking wheel though.

Those 'old Zipps' are the tubies young man. Self respecting OCP ******bags like Pcad have Zipp tubies for chasing the fast kids on Sunday and Zipp clinchers for 'training' (I use that term euphemistically).

Real men rode today my little Reedy. See my 'Road Nazi on the Russian Front' thread on the Road Cycling forum. For the record all my clinchers are rated for snow. The tubies only see dry roads however.

I share that concern and try to keep the geek out. But in the very short time I've been using the watt meter, I've noticed the huge potential it has as a training and motivational tool.

Hooray for you. For me it's mostly been a demotivational tool. I need to stop comparing myself against two-standard-deviation mutants and guys who weigh 40 lbs more than me.

Pcad, you did already get The Book and The Software, right? The hardware is only 1/3 of the system.

Illogical.
