It was about seeing how far I could go. I made it to the 2s before stopping. My time in the 3s was very rewarding.

The best brag to non bike racers I call the transitive property of race results. I actually beat a bike racer in our Tuesday night series that beat Lance Armstrong in a crit in Las Vegas, therefore I beat Lance Armstrong. This gets a lot more kudos than bragging that I'm a cat 2. It doesn't matter to office mates that the racer was riding as a lead out for his team, then dropped off before the pack sprint when I beat him, or that Lance Armstrong was just riding the crit for a pack finish to protect his GC results.
