Freaking Out - Need Tire Advice.
So I am riding The Crusher in the Tushar in less than 2 weeks. I have been struggling with my tires. I used Clement X'PLOR USH 35mm setup tubeless last time. I have Stan's rims. They worked great, but I am not sure if these tires are supposed to be used tubeless...I used them for a couple of years and the front tire started bulging so I replaced them with Gravelking SK 35mm tires. I love the tires and they look like they will be perfect. However, the rear tire is rubbing on my rear brake cable mount. The mount is positioned on top of my rear chain stay.
These tires must be wider than the 35mm they claim to be. If I can't get the rubbing problem solved...what tire should I replace it with? I could always size down to the 32mm gravel king sk...can those be setup tubeless as well?
What do you suggest for my rear tire? Must be 35mm or less and tubeless ready. The race is 70 miles - half dirt/gravel and half road. 10,000 ft climbing.
Thank you.

Is it hitting the mount, or perhaps the zip-tie head? If the latter, replace and reposition the tie head.

The X'Plor Ush is not rated for tubeless.
There is, however, X'Plor MSO tubeless. 700x36 tires.

this is an AWESOME tire. i've road tubeless on them for 3 gravel races and not once did they fail me. i bombed some pretty gnarly, rock invested descents that last over 2 minutes and they performed with great success. as for road surfaces, they roll fast. didn't feel draggy at all.

Those look like big tires. Are you sure they're 35's?
Is the wheel/tire perfectly centered between the chainstays?
If the knobs are rubbing, you could shave them with a razor blade.

I'd get the tubeless rated MSO's and be done with it.

That's not a Gravelking; is that the bike, though? As you can see, the tie head stands off the guide a bit, which is why I was asking about its positioning to make sure it was outboard (and because it's weird the tire would rub the top of the chainstay rather than the side, assuming the stay is wider than the guide), so if this is your bike, the pic answers my question.

Okay, so do you understand what I'm saying about the zip tie and confirming the location and source of the contact? It seems unlikely to be cable guide unless the sip tie head is inboard. Do you have a speed/cadence s neor that could have gotten misagligned during the tire swapping? If the tire is deflecting into the frame under hard efforts, it's more likely to be doing so up at the seatstays. It can pay off to eliminate the likely stuff first.
