Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was all happy about not riding in the morning darkness, until DST hit!

Waiting for a little light before I head out, I'm getting into work a lot later than I'd prefer. It stinks right now.

Daylight savings is a travesty. It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham. It's stupid and I hate it.

I love DST. In fact, I wish we did double DST to get yet ANOTHER hour of evening light at the height of summer.

I'm with you. This winter it has been brutal trying to blend getting outside with the weather and the early darkness.

I might be interested in going for double DST year round. Mornings are a non-event for me ... but I like long, long sunny evenings to ride.

Who cares what happens in the morning? I am either sleeping or at work and really have no need for the sun to be out for either of those tasks. I just want my long evenings to go riding. I absolutely LOVE DST!!!! I have a little celebration every year when it comes around. Hard to explain the happiness. As for those early commuters, weren't you having to commute home in the dark for much of the year anyway? Now you can commute home in the light but don't have the light for the commute to work.
