Looking for early 80s Trek 520 fork in Pewter Grey
Hi, folks. I've always wanted to build up a 520, and I just bought a bare frame 1983 model in pewter grey.
I don't have a matching fork. I understand Trek ran a lot of forks in this pewter grey in the early-to-mid 80s.
1" headset; steerer is 7". I'd prefer a fork with rack braze-ons and canti bosses, but I'm also fine if it doesn't have them.
Please help! I'm not yet allowed to post the URLs of my images, but I can get them to you somehow if you need them.

I think the 90's Kleins moved to 34.9 or so. Very thin ST's.
The "endless band" seems to grip without pressure points.
Klein seemed to think some of the parts specified were, uh, immortal.
Half fun, Half challenge, Half PITA.

My Klein is 31.8 but I would not put a regular 31.8 FD on it.

Also have an '87 520 Cirrus built up from an acquired frameset and that I greatly enjoy. Nothing on it is to factory spec.

Thanks for the lead. I have a fork that matches the build although it's a different color, and I'm thinking along your lines that if I can't find a paint-matched fork, I'll have the whole thing powder-coated and build up some sort of quasi-retro-looking town bike.
Welcome GratefulEd- I don't readily have a fork but spotted this Spinner on CL. The seller often post bike parts. Its not Trek but might meet some of your requirements. I have a similar Spinner converted for an ATB road drop. Nice forks.

Just in case, ISO:
Rear bolt-on rack.
1-for eyelets bottom and "front."
2-can be painted to match the frame.
3-wooden shelf preferred
Axiom made one years ago, long since discontinued. Others exist.

ISO: Shimano 600 Tri-color front derailleur. Clamp on 28.6
Have: Three 6400 (7s) tri-color RD's and one 6401 RD (8s).
Don't ask me how I happen to have so many RD's without matching FD's.

ISO:
Mediocre condition vintage leather saddle for my clunker Schwinn fixed gear.
Not necessarily Brooks brand and will consider all. Something older, long as its safe to ride. Scars, marring, tattery edges is even better. Black or brown. Prefer non-spring suspended. Narrow is good as well, the bike has a deep drop position.
This one is brutal and becoming unbearable, nor do I want to pull from my other bikes a nice condition saddle just for this clunker.
To trade: I have a mix of vintage road bike parts (60's 80's) and few vintage ATB parts. Also some new stock brake pads + few saddles and odd-lot vintage accessories stuff. Please ask plus will buy outright. Thank you
stems, bars, brake levers, calipers, shifters, derailleurs, pedals, etc..

NEED: a pair of brake caliper cable adjusters for Ultegra (or similar) dual-pivot calipers, ONLY need the actual (metal) barrels and the springs, I have the little plastic parts...and they don't HAVE to match the pic, as long as the shafts have the same threading (I think M6) and "flatted" on 2 sides.
HAVE: tons of parts, make a list of whatever you need that match the value of the barrels and I'll find you something!
EDIT: RobbieTunes says he has what I need, and only wants "whirled peas" in exchange, so I'm all SET!
