Specialized Sectour Elite and Specialized Sizing
I found a pretty good deal on a 2015 Specialized Sectour Elite. (About $1000 CAD in 9.5/10 condition). Is this bike any good for a beginner bike?
Also, I am about 5'7". The bike is 52cm but classified as a medium. I don't know too much about sizing road bikes but would I fit this alright? I do have rather long legs/arms for my height.
Thanks,
voz

I had a 2011 Secteur I passed along to my oldest son. It was and still is, a great bike. I think you’re in the ballpark for fit, as you can change seatpost and stem length to suit. Ride it. If it fits, and you like it, buy it.

I have a Secteur also in size 54 and as it happens, the effective top tube distance is also 54cm. I've been very happy with the bikes versatility as it will mount a rear rack for hauling stuff abound town and will fit 28mm tires. I've even loaded it up with about 25 pounds of touring gear in panniers. It is almost too big for me. I suspect a size 52, such as the one you contemplate would be a slightly better fit. We are the same heigth.
My bike when new was 22 pounds. Eventually I put custom wheels and new triple Tiagra bottom bracket on it. This saved two pounds.
