Old Raleigh BMX ?
So I have this bike.
Anybody know bmx value?
Handle bars have surface rust, but the rest is in excellent shape.
Thanks
Shawn

Are thew wheels 20"? I think it is more of a freestyle bike, judging by the style of the frame (seat stays pass the seat tube and form a small 'platform for your foot) and the holes in the fork for pegs. It likley had a ACS 'Rotor' on it at one time.
GTs are much more popular in the Freestyle and BNX category. I'd ask over the BNX subforum.

It's a 1986 ultra max/ultra shock. Raleigh wasn't big in the states as far as BMX bikes went. I'm not sure what the original specs were on the bike but it's possible that the rims, and tires could be worth a few bucks. That era Dia Compe brakes can do well also, but can't see what they are. Frame, fork, and bars don't have much monetary value. .

BMX is all about desirable name and desirable parts. This bike has neither.
That said, some of the parts could have value, if you want to deal with it. If the brakes are Dia Compe and dated, they will have value. If the crankset is branded, it will have a little value. Wheels might have a little. Sold a Spinner fork for $75 but it was chrome.

Kind of a GT Performer knock off but from the height of the freestyle era. Around 87' which many collectors want bikes from. GTs can pull $600-1600 depending on parts etc. It may not pull big money but it can from someone that owned as a kid. I would say $150-200 is not unreasonable. Unlike road (a much more serious group), we tend to overanalyze and compartmentalize a lot more which affects value, BMX is many times more emotional type purchases and the value there are holding or increasing. Also the old school window was short. Mid school is less valued for the most part.
Facebook is your friend for BMX. Retro bmx riders, bmx museum., there is probably even a Raleigh page.

Thank You for the answers, When you see $300 USD sold and 2700 Buy it now, That left a large range in value.
Yet the frame does not match anything I have seen in the BMX Museum, wonder if the this is Raleigh Canada knocking of Raleigh USA. :-)
It's never been apart, so I don't think it had a rotater, unless I find a catalog.
Anyways, Thank You.

Not really. There are sellers out there that put up crazy/ridiculously high prices. Just looked at Schwinn World Voyageur for example. These sellers just hope some idiot clicks and buys their item. If you look at completed auctions not sold by seller, you will see the crazy high folks.
