NOS Olmo San Remo Complete Bike
Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and I'd like to get your collective opinion on value of this 1990 Olmo San Remo with a "blend" of Campagnolo bits I picked up over ~2 years. I assembled the bike 7-8 years ago and it's been test-driven 2-3 times. I know Cromor isn't high-end and I also know Olmo may not have the appeal of some other makes; however, I liked the frameset and decided to build it up over time. Derailleurs are Chorus. Delta brakes and crankset were purchased as Croce d'Aune, and the remainder (aside from the cockpit) is Record. Rims are Mavic Open Pro. It's an 8-speed drivetrain (cassette) with downtube shifters.
Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks very much.

BTW I was told a few years ago by some folks who have knowledge of these things, that Olmos are held in high regard in Italy, compared to their relative obscurity here. Apparently Olmo (the company) did not make a concerted or sustained effort to market the "brand" in north america during the seventies.

That's a beauty. I have seen very few San Remo's floating around on EBay. What people are asking on ebay does not seem to be their value, as they seem to stay on there awhile.

Nice bike, put on Ebay for what you think it's worth. Let it sit until you get an offer you like. I've had some full price, others I forgot I listed and accepted an offer but still came out ahead. Several way ahead.

It’s a beauty! Unless I need parts for a personal project I would not part such a beautiful bike. I can’t help to put a price on it but my guess is that it’s likely the NOS bike condition will reduce the difference of selling in parts vs as a whole.

That is gorgeous. I wouldn't part it out either.
I might take some flack for this but this thing has to be worth around $2k due to the fact that it is basically brand new with lots of choice Campy parts. Cromor or not, that is one nice looking frame.

That's a beauty I'd have a hard time parting with it if it fit. Bike porn like that gets a big premium on ebay you know it will be some ones impulse buy. There's an 84 Competition NOS on ebay now for 3500 .
