I have the Silca Matone and the Matone Grande and I will say I use the Matone 95% of the time. It's well made, sleek, small, stable, and in the regular Matone I can fit a small multi tool, quick link, two coin cell batteries, patch kit, SRAM AXS battery, and two TPU tubes. My big qualms for the Matone lineup in general is while the BOA system is very secure it's a pain to get on and off and in order to access anything in the bag you need to take off the bag completely since it's not side loading. Also another big issue is that the bag blocks most Varia mounting points, thus it would have been great if Silca designed a loop to install a garmin mount or they just made a varia mount for it. The only way around this is getting a saddle from Specialized or Trek that has built in mounting points and buying a 3rd party varia mount that will allow for the bag and Varia to work together

I have a Matone and a an Asymetrico. Neither is wonderful, but I prefer the Matone. I'm currently using a Lezyne Road Caddy that I quite like!

I have a Silca Matone. Because I have a short nose saddle that is placed where it has minimal rails in the back, to attach the bag, I have to pull the strap completely off each time. I have to route it through one rail, then through the bag before I route it through the 2nd rail. I also agree w/ a previous post that the strap for the Boa is a bit of a pain in the butt to attach. Because of how I use it and what I put in it, I have to take it off each time because of it's design. You can't open the bag while it's attached. Again, this was discussed earlier. Despite all of that, I still dig it. It just looks great! Do wish it was slightly bigger though.

I'm a big fan of the Topeak series of bags. They have a bracket that attaches to the seat rails allowing the bag to be easily detached. They come in various sizes from small (one 700cx23 tube and a CO2 cartridge and tire levers all the way to huge. They all fit the same bracket so they are easy to move from bike to bike.

I've been surprised by how much stuff I can actually fit in the ALMSTHRE bag - full gravel race tool kit (2 TPU tubes, 3 CO2s + adapter, multi tool, dynaplug, 2 levers, 2 quick links). The only tool I carry outside of that is a mini pump at the bottom of my hydro pack. I like the seat bag enough that I got the matching top tube bag for snacks.
That's a butyl 35-45mm tube, so it takes up some space; still, it's pretty easy to zip up the bag. I haven't ridden with it yet, but it seems pretty solid.
Just for fun, here's another saddle bag I like -- it's even more minimalist, since it lacks a zipper. The great thing about this 'lunch bag' style is that you can pack less or pack more, and it adapts (up to a point). I could get a second tube in it, and it would just expand down and back (i.e., away) from the saddle -- though then I would wrap a Voile strap through the saddle rails and around the bag for a little extra security. This was made by Ptap Bags in Baltimore, but I think he no longer makes this style.

I just ordered the pink one for my gravel bike. At full price, it would have been a tossup between pink and BWR blue (even though I am too wimpy for that event). On closeout the pink is a no brainer. Thank you, Eric F.
