Poor man's load cell
Had my battery in pieces on the bench and no safe way to consume the 43V and test if the BMS repair was working.
So I hooked up some household electrical wire to some metal bits and dangled it in a ceramic pot with some salted water.
Worked like a charm, frothy nasty looking stuff formed on the container and boiling type action not much heat, considerable rapid corrosion on the end bits and 5-15 amps of load depending on how far into the mix. Enough for a monitored test.
Just in case you are stuck for a load source.
