Post Your Colnagos

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Stigma? There's no stigma attached to having a Colnago. Never was. There may be negative comments from loud-mouthed members of this particular online forum who are the sort who claim that cyclists in the nonline world use a particular male Christian name as a disparaging epithet, but then that says it all, really.

The only justified quibble about Colnagos might be that some of their paint schemes in the past have been a teensy bit gaudy. But I used to have 80s hair, too, so what do I know?

Great looking bike 80vette;

I got mine at end of year close out from competitive cyclist last year.
Super deal. They also had bare frames.
Keep your eyes open for deals towards the end of the year. Always the best time to get good deals.
It's gonna be a long wait.

Here's my Master XL. Swapped the bars and stem recently to Deda Newton dark metal polish for a better fit and finish. I bought it because I love the ride quality of steel and the handling of the other Colnago I've ridden. It's never disappointed me.

I don't find the Colnago to be a particularly good-looking bike. It looks colorful and frail.
