Stigma? There's no stigma attached to having a Colnago. Never was. There may be negative comments from loud-mouthed members of this particular online forum who are the sort who claim that cyclists in the nonline world use a particular male Christian name as a disparaging epithet, but then that says it all, really.
The only justified quibble about Colnagos might be that some of their paint schemes in the past have been a teensy bit gaudy. But I used to have 80s hair, too, so what do I know?

I tried to find this frame (in white) at a decent price for my build up this year. I couldn't but in the process, found a great deal on my 07 Vortex so went with that instead. I still intend to build a carbon frame in the next few years (don't tell my wife) and the CLX is on the short list. Maybe by then, I can find a good deal.
Great looking bike 80vette;

Super deal. They also had bare frames.
Keep your eyes open for deals towards the end of the year. Always the best time to get good deals.
It's gonna be a long wait.

Here's my Master XL. Swapped the bars and stem recently to Deda Newton dark metal polish for a better fit and finish. I bought it because I love the ride quality of steel and the handling of the other Colnago I've ridden. It's never disappointed me.
