Lots of rolling hills. the end on San Vicente to Ocean starts with a mild incline and transitions to a neat descent where you can build a lot speed and possibly try to break off with a couple guys. Take a hard left corner onto Ocean, which is on a decline, for the straight sprint to finish. the last part may be terribly foggy. It was the first year and I couldnt see anything

Drive train was so smooth after full cleaning yesterday.

Yesterday I rode through so much muck, and the chain, i could feel it getting hard and stiff as i was riding...

Day two as a vegan. I finally stopped hating life, though I still have a dull ache from my caffeine withdrawal. Took a nap and put in some singletrack miles.

Today I had to fire a friend of mine because labor cost is too high and the owner would rather have one of his dumb-ass friends that can't cook stay on instead of someone who actually knows what he's doing. Tomorrow, long bike ride as catharsis, followed by a really nice dinner.

Doing pretty well with the menu, had red beans and quinoa today which came out AMAZING. I really thought I would have more of a problem with this than I am, I know I'm eating less and feeling full longer. Normally after a strenuous bike ride I go raid the fridge and stuff my face with whatever I can find. Today I came home and felt totally fine.

I've never had a carbon steerer before, I'm guessing this is one? my carbon/aluminum hybrid was that silver gloss and a different texture, but it obviously doesn't have the obvious carbon look the way the blades too. I sound like a dumbass asking, but I want to make sure I advertise it as full carbon if I sell it. the sticker is rubbed off so I can't read it

edit: nevermind haha. turned the fork around and it says CARBON STEERING COLUMN right on the blade

Rode some more this evening/night and I am really pleased with the new frame. It fits better than the Schwinn and isn't as flexy, looks hell of a lot better too.

Curiosity is going to kill me. Any reason why you guys are vegan? Ideological or otherwise? I won't turn this into an argument.
