3 speed chromoly?
hello - looking for suggestions of either a specific brand or how to best organize the kind of bike i want;
3 speed
chromoly
under 25 pounds in size 55cm or so
fits tires up to 35cm or so
standover less than 32.5
bullhorn bars with bar end shifter for igh
i've got a priority bicycle now that i like but the frame is misaligned and the rear tire has to be skewed and the whole thing makes me nervous when i'm already dodging jerks driving while texting. round trips of 15 miles.

That's a pretty unusual set of requirements, you might have to build it yourself. The fixie fad is pretty well over but that's the kind of frame you'd need, then you'd need to hunt up the unusual shifter.
Have you had the Priority checked out by a mechanic? Or are you over it.

thanks for the reply. the bicycle left 2 mechanics very unhappy. i don't really expect the handlebar/shifter thing but was hoping there might be a decent lightweight chromoly frame with a 3 speed wheel already set up that people knew about.

Not sure what you really want but don't want to do your own search..
I have a 3 speed Brompton and Bike Friday can build a bike to your order ..
There are some small builders in the USA but costs can't compete with Taiwan's Mega factories, so many brands use.
Maxway Ltd TW is a big one making steel framed bikes... for many client companies ..

Wabi Thunder with your own IGH wheel. They won’t be back in stock till October though.
Not sure why you’d want a shifter where most people would want one of their brake levers, but it’s totally doable.
Were I your Shop Guy, I’d be begging you to, for safety’s sake, have the bar ends be brakes only and stash the shifter inboard near the stem.
[edit] if you intend on using the bars like they’re mtb straight bars plus barends which you only occasionally use for sprinting/climbing, I’d still argue to stick the shifter inboard between one of the levers and the stem as out on a bull-end is a great place for easily bending a thing you don’t want bent.

State Bicycle Co. makes a line of very nice 3-speed city bikes for a very reasonable price.
