anyone actually tried 10s derailleur on 11s drivetrain, with H and L screws adjust?

Hello.

( I'm just plotting to devise a particular drivetrain for particular reason. with SRAM Exact Actuation 11 speed.)

so I'm really thirst to know that if there has been a case to experiment

if it's possible to use 10 speed derailleur on 11 speed drivetrain which pull ratio is exactly same,

with merely adjusting high and low limit screw.

I've imagined that if the difference is just 2mm, maybe it can be covered by adjusting high and low limit screws.

like, 11 speed Rival shifter and 11 speed cassette, with 3x10 speed X5 rear derailleur, the shifter and the derailleur are all Exact Actuation pull ratio.

thank you very much in advance.

I probably have to rewrite the question… especially the title.

I've done the opposite (11sp RD with 10sp shifters) and it works fine.

There is a thread somewhere, along with YouTube videos that show this setup.
I was going to use it for a hill climb setup, with a 50/34 & 11/36, Sram Red 11-speed shifters & a long-cage exact actuation 10-speed RD.

Search around & you'll find it

As long as both shifter and derailleur are Exact Actuation, it will work fine.
