I know you're joking but the Dollar is worth less than the Euro right now and has been for the past 5 years. This is probably €2 or something but patch kits like that are cheap and light. Add €0.50 in shipping as a letter and this might explain it.

Received some parts for the tandem today, mostly small hub parts that were missing when I bought the hub second-hand, and a Ryde Andra 40 rim in black 650B.
It's one stiff rim, I can't seem to flex it by hand and even without being built up it can support a decent amount of body weight when I lean on it.

Well, technically, it was yesterday now. Huge thanks to Insidious C.

Significant project now in the works, as my wife wants a nice, yellow bike (she really likes the color that i had my 1977-ish Raleigh Team Professional painted). This just happens to have some residual yellow on it, but it's a steel tubed bonded to aluminum Raleigh Technium Team model from approx 1990.

Such a great job packing too.

They finally got here!

Sellers pic

I won the auction, paid, and these were put in the mail the 8th.
They bounced around Detroit for weeks. I finally put in a lost mail search request, and two days later, at the door.
June 8th to June 27th 😳

But the Blueline is here! It isn’t the lightest or the sexiest, but I’m building a fastish sports/credit touring/mixed surface build, and I think these will do just fine in my bike boom Raleigh.

Been a bad spring for my water bottle stash (dropped, cracked, left behind, etc), so I ordered a couple basic Specialized bottles from eBay, one red, one blue.

As I have to run off to a few appointments, I'll open my early Canada Day present later today.

New shoes from magliamo.be, or as my wife occasionally refers to them, "ballet slippers."

A rear wheel that takes a threaded freewheel, and a cassette that needed a freehub.

Nothing as it's Canada Day. Wheels for a fellow forum member are waiting in a postal outlet from June 29 but Canada Post never bothered to notify me they were there awaiting pick up. I could have got them then. Ah well I guess I'll get them tomorrow.

Cheers

NOS (in sealed factory packaging) Shimano Dura-Ace ST-7700-C (9-speed Flight Deck) hoods for my brake/shift levers. Expensive but cheaper than buying new levers.

If one man's junk is another man's jewelry, then "Bling-Bling" is my middle name.

I have no idea what to do with the Valentinos, but both of the Gran Sports appear on cursory inspection to be salvageable.

1983 Serotta Club Special, full Super Record. Frame is too large even for me, so it'll find a new home. Group is earmarked for my '81 Trek 957.

With receipt of a new set of folding 700c Paselas (for under $48 shipped ), today marks the first time I've had all the bikes with at least 25mm wide tires ... and the first time I mounted 28c tires on my own road bike.
