Old Clydesdale enjoying some climbing !
Decided to ride out of the shop after work today and go play on some climbs and enjoy some nice spring weather. As I told my wife after my ride today I can still remember being a lot lighter and a lot faster on the Willard Brook climb. I still enjoy climbing even if it does take me longer to get to top, just a fun day out on the road.

Haven't been up Bolton St. in years thanks for the reminder, I'll have to hit it in the near future. I find it harder than Mountain Rd. even though they are about the same distance. Mountain road is pretty consistent and you get to keep pretty much the same tempo all the way up. Bolton St. has steeper sections but also has a few flat spots and even a slight drop before the final bump at the end of it.
I went through my log book and my notes on Bolton street for the grade is it has a small max section of 19%.
It was a nice day just wish Mother Nature would put a bunch of them together for us, more rain than anything the last month and a half.

Good for you! My husband grew up in Bolton. Last year, he had the urge to ride around the area so we started in Bolton and went into Harvard. Those hills kicked my butt! I think I uttered the words, "I hate you" at some point on the ride. He laughed.
Now I have the nicer bike. Might be time for a rematch.
