Angry Avoid buying Canyon women sizes 2XS and 3XS in the US

Got the Ultimate WMN CF SLX Disc 9.0 Team CSR and love it to pieces. However, turns out that smaller wheels on smaller frames are a great idea in theory but in reality, if you damage one, you won't be able to replace it in the US. Manufacturers that make 650b wheels for road bikes (as opposed to gravel bike, which are too wide) make them only OEM for Canyon (I talked to reps from Mavic, DT Swiss, etc.) and don't sell them to consumers in the US. And yet, Canyon refuses to provide any help in obtaining a new wheel from any of their suppliers. They claim it's not their problem and are ignoring my pleas. Until Canyon is willing to ask their suppliers to ship a wheel over so that their customers have a way to buy one, getting the 2XS or 3XS road bike is a risky proposition. You might end up with a very expensive bike hanging in your garage without a wheel.

Sounds you could've gotten better customer service.
While you can't easily get an exact replacement wheel, a wheelbuilder could make something close for you. Available 650b road rims include Zipp 303, Light Bicycle AR36, Nextie NXT27GR45, DT Swiss RR481, Velocity Aileron, and Hed Belguim plus many wider or shallower rims. Depending on the nature of the damage to you original wheel, you should be able to re-use the hub ... or you might better off with a completely different wheel that's better suited to your use.
