Anyone only subscribe to Zwift for part of the year?

Is it difficult to quit?

If I start now, do they bill me in a month? Or is it on a set date?

I did a 7 day trial that started when I did my first ride, then I signed up for a month, it's on a recurring thing but it tells you the date you have to disable that option by to prevent next month's billing. I have heard they save all your information, much like TR does.

I canceled my subscription yesterday and then today the weather turned cold. I almost renewed but then I dressed warm and went for a ride.

Cold I can handle, but today there were heavy thunderstorms and a tornado warning. It has been too cold to ride in the rain, and we have been getting quite a bit of rain. Riding outside isn't going to be enough.

I keep buying the gift cards. The problem with those are forgetting to get a new one and turning up to ride only to find out you have itty bitty number of fake miles to ride.

I subscribed to Zwift when the UK went into lockdown. I will cancel my subscription once I'm able to go outside for longer rides.

Billing is the same day every month when you start.
Cancel your subscription on the Zwift.com profile page --> Billing
Your data is saved while you are away, but no guarantees in the future.
While suspended you can still ride 25km / calendar month.

I suspend my subscription for 4 months each year in the summer. Maybe not this year though.

Oh I forgot to mention that when I finished my trial it paused my account... I let it go for a few days while I waited for my new trainer to come and all my points and whatnot came back when I paid for the month.

The first year (2017) I turned Zwift off for the summer - it is easy to do, you just have to remember!

The next year we had a rainy spring and a long string of rainy weekends - I ended up using Zwift about twice per month and never turned it off again. For obvious reasons, I'll leave it on again this summer.

What I've found is that if I only have an hour to ride, my only real option are some local loops from my house that I've done a million times and are just boring training rides - I'm likely not to put in that short of a ride. With Zwift, I'll do a tough 45 -60 minute ride/group ride/race/workout way more often than I'd do one of those short outdoor rides. So, I actually end up using it over the summer more than I thought I would.

I feel the same way about trainerroad, I leave it on all year because if I want to ride an hour and not take 2 hours to do it, riding indoors is the way to go.

I Zwift from October through April, then I just cancel my subscription. I re-subscribe in the fall again. Its easy and have been doing this from its start. Never had an issue. I do use an IOS platform but that shouldn't matter.

you can ride in the trial for 25km every 30 days. I do this in the summer when its raining and I really want to ride. 25km isn't very far but its good for one ride a month if the weather is bad.

I want to ride with friends, who are going much further than 25km. I have an account now, still haven't paid. Maybe today, supposed to snow

I signed up on the website and got a 7 day trial, I think I did almost 400km in my first week on zwift. Dunno if 25km would have hooked me like the week trial did.

I keep my account active year round. I use it in the summer for recovery rides and Interval work that is long. I have a short attention span, erg mode keeps me on target when my mind wanders.

I keep my trainerroad account active year round. I just don't see having both. We'll see. So far I like zwift a lot, but I have all of 2 miles in right now.

thanks for the info about being able to get in and out of Zwift easily. I was not aware of that.
