Someone use my scavenger hunt list!

I put together a scavenger hunt list for an event that is still in the planning stages (Jamey, you'll get another chance buddy) but I wanted to share it with you out-of-towners. I'll admit, coming up with the list was harder than I thought, so if you're planning something in your town just send me a PM and I'll send it your way. Some are sort of localized, but it might be a good start/addition.

I imagine there are a few organizers on here who'd like some ideas.

The St. Valentine's Couples scavenger hunt in G'ville went something like this:
□ 2 beverages greater than 16 ounces
□ Wednesday’s Alligator
□ Wristband from a club
□ Pair of chopsticks
□ Pair of underwear
□ Flower (non-azalea)
□ Dinner mint
□ Video Rodeo Membership and business card
□ Light bulb
□ “For Sale” sign
□ Parking Ticket dispute affidavit
□ Menu with burrito on it
□ Page from a phonebook with “Smith”
□ Send an Email to scavenge_gainesville@hotmail.com with your names in subject

I thought about just posting the list, but if you're participating in a hunt, and you've already seen the items on BF, it's not quite as funny.

On the other hand, if no one cares and just wants to see the list I'll post it.

It was. Three people showed. It was a pathetic. Can some more experienced planners help with ideas on how to get the word out? I personally told 20 or more people who ride bikes on a regular basis and they all skipped it. The new idea is find a house/bar to host a party with the scavenger hunt happening before (5-9pm, say) and maybe an alleycat race at midnight or something.

Make a flyer. Make a hundred copies. Take a stack to every bike shop in town. Ride your bike everywhere. If you see someone on a bike and you think they'd race, chase them down and give them a flyer. Put a flyer in any hot bike's spokes.

And sometimes people just don't show up. Don't worry. There will always be people who forget or whatever other excuse. If they find out they missed a good time, they'll be there next time.

I didn't ever see a flyer. I would have come, but I'm broke. There should be a Gville race in 2 weeks, if you want to see how we do. I'll post details.

If you're looking for some ideas for your Scavenger Hunt list, I've uploaded my recent list. You'll have to modify it for your town though.
