Traveling to White Bear Lake, MN 10/10-14 - Bike Rental? Attractions?
So last minute I'm heading to White Bear Lake, MN on Monday, Oct. 10th until the 14th. I'll pretty much have all the time in the world to do what I want. No car though.
I'd love to bring my Tarmac but I don't see it happening.
1) Is there anywhere close to rent/demo a decent road bike for a couple days - not a city-bike that I can grab from a kiosk.
2) What are some good routes in the area. 30+ mile loops would be nice. A riding partner would be even better. (Anyone?)
3) Any general attractions / places to eat (vegetarian) that I must not miss?

The only place I know that rents nice bikes is Freewheel Bike. I know they rent them at the Midtown location.

Once you figure out where to get a bike check out the TCBC ride schedule at https://www.biketcbc.net/mcalendar/calendar.asp?ID=2. A quick glance showed me group rides in Little Canada, Stillwater and Shoreview that are sort of within reach of White Bear Lake.
