Sparta-Elroy trail

Just spent two days biking the Sparta Elroy trail with the family. We did 18.5 miles the first day and 32 the second day. My nine year old son did the trip on his Walmart BMX bike and still had energy to play at a playground that evening! This was our first "big" biking trip. Plans are being made for our next one!

Give that boy a high-five from me! Nice story, I guess the first day was all uphill and the second day mostly downhill? LOL

The trail is part of the rails to trails system. It is crushed and packed limestone. I think I read it had a max of 4% grade.

As a matter of fact it was the first rails to trails in the nation - in 1965
