New from Bear Creek area of Houston, Texas
Hi gang...just found this forum last night. I have returned to biking after many years, choosing an entry level Giant road bike to get back into it. My progress is slow, but I'm not in a hurry, either. I have to admit that I feel like the Johnny Appleseed of bicycling...the bikes are so much lighter, plentiful, and expensive than they were 10 years ago! Plus, dealing with traffic is almost unnerving.

Welcome to the forums. This is a pretty nice site. Yes I'd have to admit, Hempstead, Magnolia or Katy is about as close to Houston as I'd try riding.

Welcome,
I'm just down the road in Copperfield. Terry Hersey Park and the new trail to George Bush Park now allows for a 40 mile loop with dealling with cars. Its the only place safe enough for my kids to come with me. I've been riding here a couple of years now. Let me know if I can be of any help.
