Ms 150 2008

Just recieved a notice that registration starts on the 15th. I've never signed up to be on a team. Anyone have any tips on what are the best teams to sign up with? Best Jersey, Party Tent? Support during the ride?

If you are refering to the Houston-Austin MS150 then you better register now. It opened on the 1st and the last I checked it was already 43% full in 2 days. You can register now and find a team later.

No, I'm not looking to start a team. I want to join one. I've heard some teams are better funded by their sponsors, thus better ride support, jerseys, accomodations, parties, etc. I just wanted to know if anyone had details about how to join or get an invite to one of them.

https://dallas.ms150.org/dallas/

If I started a team it would be something like:

Everyone who joins my team gets a 4oz bag of pretzels, a 20 oz gatorade, and help yourself to a Hanes Beefy T in the bucket (only white, xxxl's). Oh, cost to be on the team is $40.

Contact the MS Society and ask about it. I did that for the San Antonio to Corpus MS150 later this month and got hooked up with a team very easily.

Is the info for 2008 up yet? Looks like the info is for 2007. Will the dates be the same for next year?

I just mail for the 2008 BP MS 150 from Houston to Austin. The url is: https://www.ms150.org/ms150/register/index.cfm?

I just did the MS 150 up here in Seattle and I'm moving to Austin very soon. I'm looking for a team to join. My last team we raised over $100 with 85 people.

Is that right.... $100 for 85 people? Houston to Austin min. pledge is $400 per person. When I started almost 10 years ago it was a min. of $150 per rider.

Rightfully so. We were about $1340/person, but with only ~30 team members and one guy helping pull a lot of the weight. Congratulations.
