Feet shrunk
Since trading in sore feet and a bad back for hemorrhoids from sitting all day, my feet have shrunk and the size 48 Sworks road shoes no longer fit. Anyone need a pair of Sworks carbon road shoes size 48?

Unless those shoes didn't fit well and were the issue, I'd consider hanging on to them so if you do start piling the miles on and your new shoes no longer work, they are on hand.
One shoe approach I really like is laces. They have turned shoes that caused a series of issues to simple joys to ride. I find a good pair of shoes with laces far more versatile fit-wise than straps or buckles. (Haven't tried Boas but I have seen maybe one (very expensive) pair with enough of them to really dial in the fit. I put in 9 pairs of grommets so that is 4+ boas plus I get creative on lacing systems (and don't use the same left and right since my feet are so different.)
Oh, and yes I have done a true side-by-side comparison. Same shoes I'd been riding for years. Cut off the straps, went to Tandy Leather and bought grommets and installed them. Instant "wow!" (OK, I know at east one of you is going to get picky and point out there was at least an afternoon between the two rides. But I dare you to find two new pairs as identical anywhere to improve the time frame.)

You should work on shrinking your hemorrhoids.

I like the idea of changing them to lace up shoes. The Boa system sucks anyway, so why not experiment. Good tip!

My calves and feet are swollen. I'm definitely not pregnant, however. No joy to come.

I lay down on my left side, feet slightly elevated by a wedge shaped pillow, knees bent to a comfortable position, feet crossed over sometimes. Very comfortable and less pain from my feet draining. I keep my head and shoulders elevated as well.

You might consider compression socks, btw (after seeing the doc).
