Las Vegas - Recommended Bike Shops?

Hello,

I am a new rider and I don't even have a ride yet. I'm curious about any suggested bike shops here in Las Vegas. It would be most useful if someone at the shop would take their time with me, find out what my needs are and be able to make suggestions.

McGhies on Ft Apache and Flamingo. And make sure you ask about joining the Mandalay Bay sponsored club.

Another option is The Bike Shop on Pecos and Wigwam.

https://www.bikeshop-lv.com/

Ask for Bill Johnson. He is an older guy, he likes to talk bikes. I think the rest of the staff is on commission and tends to act like it. They do carry quality products. JT's is also a good shop. REI n Henderson has kinda become my shop off choice because their service is excellent and doesn't cost as much.

I like Pro Cyclery at 7034 W. Charleston, Las Vegas. I bought a TT bike and they spent a lot of time on proper fit. Also had them assemble a bike for me, and they did a good job at a fair price.

Shop for an decent overhaul with a fair price. I have an older Italian bike that needs some proper attention before the fall arrives. I see Tim advertising everyday in CL.

Took my Red Italian Torelli to Tim in Henderson. Amazing work, now the wheels spin forever, the peddle effort is without thought, and I have new Michelin Pro 2 Blue/Black - 700x23 for the pavement with brakes that now can stop forward motion... The Bicycle had not been ridden for about 15 years and now is ready to be enjoyed... Tim will get my Trek 700 Multitrack next, it also needs a check-up, rusted thin spokes replaced and a proper overhaul. Then my prized possession the White and Blue Novara X-R, that arrived in Vegas from New York via China!!!

If you are an bicycle engineer and expect to pay $150 for an overhaul then Tim might not be the right person for you. I was quite pleased with the work he performed, his attitude and will take my other valued bicycles to him for service because his skills are far superior to mine. When feeling wind in the face, my life, limbs, and well being are about the original manufacture, machinery age and his bicycle repair skills...
