Covid bike build 99% done

I couldn't wait any longer and had to go for a ride on the ALMOST complete rebuild. I forgot how well it rode and probably be getting most of the attention by me. Paint, lettering, etc done in my basement with airbrush, (stencil & freehand) and home made waterslide decals (couldn't wait for velocals any longer). It turned out well considering I was trying out some ideas with paint, design, and relearning photoshop. Frame was mostly good with one ding from an over tightened front derailleur which I massaged out with heat and a bar on the inside of the tube. It's not perfect but sure rides nice.

Still left to do - Flag band on chainstay, falck decal, and decide on white or gray cable housing.

With regards to the title of this thread, I wonder how many people years from now will be saying things like, "Yeah, that's my covid-bike right there." Or how many twenty year-olds will be regarded as "The Covid Generation"?

Nice! The mesh pattern is very cool snd I'm mystified how the light and dark went to dark and light.

DDB,
Incredible job...I very much like the meshwork in the paint.
Best, Ben

I think the first shot is the stencil, and the second are the results. Very nice!!

The truth - I am part dumb-ass and when I did that tube I had the wrong paint in the airbrush, either that or breathing in too many paint/reducer fumes. Nevertheless I had to strip it and re-do as well as the left side seat stay.
