The irony is I have nothing offer, which is demonstrative of how little you understood.

Kinda bummed. Thought I had avoided a purchase by using the included Quarq crankset. Wrong wrong wrong. I had incorrectly used a spacer and it somehow worked for one ride, then came loose and wobbled on the trainer last night.
Now, having to buy the correct crankset to go with the meter. Womp womp womp.
Also dead tired of my extensions and tired of waiting on Aerocoach. On the way home stopping by hardware store to get hardware to instead move the 15 degree pad tilt blocks so that it tilts the entire assembly. Then throw the extensions on the normal way.
So, maybe this weekend I'll have the TT bike back in one piece.

There is something wrong with the turbo pump or vacuum system on our ICP-MS and now I have to go in to help my guys get it back up. Damn it. Hopefully it's just latter...

Somebody needs to talk me out of bidding on a Crockett frameset just to build another SSCX for a season that's probably not happening.

Wait until the season actually gets canceled and you can probably get a better deal from a bummed out person selling theirs (or a dealer with overstocks). At least that's my best shot at talking you out of it.

I actually had 2 cars with underboost codes due to intake air restriction. One of those was a big rat stuck in the intake duct. That car stunk like you would expect and the customer had to pay for me to clean it out. The other had a piece of plastic way down in there which had apparently fallen in there at the factory.

For the longest time I wanted to purchase a mid-level speedy little compact sedan with a turbo and stick shift. Preferably hatchback but not necessarily. I don't go on long drives often so I wanted something I could put more stuff in than my Corolla and enjoy driving within the county. Mazdaspeed 3, Focus ST, Civic Si, something like that. big john do you have an recommendations for models like that???
The reality is that I'm not rich and while my 07' Corolla has some chipped paint and unflattering appearance, it works fine. It's got 130k on it and honestly it runs just fine, covers my needs and doesn't cause problems. I only drove it about 10k last year. Something would have to happen to my Corolla for me to purchase something else.

I've loved it. It's tunable and customizable if you're into that, but it's pretty fun stock too. They're not that expensive, especially these days.
Mine has some simple, cheap, low hanging fruit done. Short ram intake, turbo inlet pipe, plugs, AccessPort tuner (really fun if you like tinkering with computers), high pressure fuel pump (required if you do any tuning at all or it'll run lean and you'll end up venting the block), rear motor mount, short shifter.
OK, writing it all out sounds like more than it really was. It makes somewhere around 300 horsepower at the wheels, pulls as hard as I need it to.
Can't go wrong with any of those options though, I think they're all pretty well liked (plus the GTI).

Thanks, I remember now you posting something similar a few years back about your speed3. Can you comment on it's reliability? I assume it is very good due to it being Japanese. My wife has a '08 Mazda 3 and it is just a really great car, stands out over my Corolla in almost every way.
The GTI is another option, forgot about that one.

I think I did one rear shock that was leaking. The forums usually don't have much in the way of issues either. One long term reliability thing might be the oil in the intake because it's one of the earlier direct injection cars, so the intake valves get gummed up, but other than a bit of power loss I don't know that there's really any issues there.

Get a miata.
Tbh im semi looking for a new to me car as well. I have an 06 Acura TL that just hit 150k but is starting to develop some electrical and/or trans issues.
Kinda thinking a 2012 v6 rav4 or a newer cx5 to cover bike and snowboard duty.
I guess you've never seen a subaru or European car then huh?
