Has the name Nill Toulme painted into it. Surprised about the lack of anything on the seat stay caps. A couple of those clovers sure do have loooong stems.

Custom Colnago frame/fork. Columbus SL or similar. I believe the taller frames were slightly thicker gauge than SL but not 100% on that. Very light weight in any case. 36x24 (70mm) Italian threading. Frame has some surface blemishes. No dents or dings. Stamped 'C10' on rear driveside dropout.

I have never seen sloppy clovers on a Colnago...maybe just bad touch-up paint...
The connecting lines between the leaves are usually straight and clean as a whistle...and the stem is usually more triangle like...these look a bit blobby...and no pantographing on the brake bridge either...

That's a time travel bike...so sleek it moved to the future in 2014 as a classic NOS!
I know it's not exactly C&V, but it's still an unridden bike with a full Athena group. $1,500 list price.

I remember excuses being made, saying how well they rode, and them bting given a pass, regarding their detail and finish work, especially compared to the work of the rising generation of American frame builders. The pantographia was spectacular, but close comparisons berween Masi, De Rosa, and to a lesser extent Gios frames of the time, showed Colnago was a little late to the party. That being said, clearly Ernesto shifted course there, and has never since been found wanting.. I would guess thar contracting out production, to multiple small shops exacerbated the issue as well.

Nice for the age looking Carlton. Mostly original (at least from the included pictures), saddle swapped out, snapped top tube cable guide and stop it appears. Who doesn't love a cottered crank!? Had to look at this a while before I realized it was beyond my N+1. In a few messages with the seller, he indicated he measured the top tube at 57cm. Forget the exact dates I was matching it up to, but 1960s of course. Reynolds 531 plain tubes. Chrome on fork (not many pictures) looks amazing for 55 years...

1986 ST 500 with different wheels and a biopace crank, superbe pedals with box and old bags too. In the late '80s Peugeot produced two road bikes with lugged/bonded aluminum frames, the Pechiney process bikes named after the factory where they were produced. The Comete had Euro components and the Galaxie had the first-gen 105 group. I had a Galaxie. I was working for Peugeot at the time of the recall and never actually saw a frame that came unbonded but evidently there were a very few failures and the recall was instituted as a safety action by the company. Don't know if other such frames like A.L.A.N. had problems.
