Mercier year? Value?
Only photo.
Good evening! This is the only photo provided (NDS, natch).
I'll conclude the form is a replacement. Looks like an intact luxtub decal just below the top tube on the seat tube. I'd ID this as a 100 model, but what year? Does this look like a 21" frame?
Thanks!

Yes looks like 21". Guessing around 1970.

How about a value? If this is a 100 model, is $50 too much?

Is this a 100 with chromed rear socks? It might be a 200 which I think also had luxtub (hi tensile) steel tubing I believe. Assuming everything checks out (especially that replacement fork), $50 is about right.

Wonder if she may be a model for the domestic market. If produced for the domestic market would expect wheel size to be 700 rather than 27.
This pattern of Simplex Prestige shift lever launched in 1970 but we did not seem them on cycles in North America until 1971.
A 1971 North American model would have come through with the stencil type trim rather than foil transfers.
If you purchase the machine there are two spots where you may discover a date specific.
a) The backside of the Simplex Prestige rear mech.

b) A two digit number inside a diamond symbol on the cycle's Rigida SUPERCHROMIX wheel rims.

The decals line up with 1970-1971 info, and the seat tube seems to have Poulidor on it. I'm not very interested in a precise date, but knowing when it was made helps fill in the gaps I don't know, like dropout spacing and geometry.
the seller looks like they're trying to get a best offer by Sunday. I'd love to find a raleigh Super Course for my project, so I've been careful chasing high tensile frames.

rear spacing, if unaltered, should be 122
non-original fittings appear to include fork, brake levers, & pedals

High bid was $30, $5 more than I bid. Seller wanted $50, so he didn't sell. It could be yours if you're in the Dayton area!
