Hello From Auburn Ca

Life time lurker making that first post, Hello all. I got back on the bike in 2003, it was clear I needed to get active again. Now 16 years and many happy miles later, so glad I did. I'm a road bike guy, god bless all you skilled enough for the mountain bike, I have decided to just stay out of the way... I have 4 bikes in the stable, 3 singles and a tandem. I ride with a small posse in the Auburn, Forest Hill area. We also have an informal group that prepares together for the Markleeville event, we are out early on Sunday mornings and all are welcome to join in. I just connected with a group that does the Eroica event in Cambria, looking forward to a new adventure with people who enjoy the old bikes I love so much. Hope to see you out there, Happy Holidays!

welcome Michael! You should try MTB! I hear Auburn is a good place for it.

Thanks Tmonk and Rob, you guys are right, there really are some great areas here for MTB. I did the Forest Hill divide loop with some friends a while back and while I survived it, hats off to you guys who blow through that kind of terrain. If you like climbing on the road, Mosquito Ridge has a 15 mile nonstop climb/descent with about 5K. Going down makes you 10 years old again instantly.
